Ride. Transform. Survive. You start on a motorbike with a full tank and a road full of trouble. Drive onto the ramp of a moving carrier and roll out as a super car, then a hydrofoil, then a jet.

Riding the highway on a motorbike, driving onto the carrier's lit ramp and coming out as a super car

  • Six stages of road, water and sky, with a boss at the end of each
  • Power panels cycle through their icons: grab one on the gun, missile, shield or bomb you want
  • The fuel gauge only goes down, so keep picking up fuel
  • Two runs: DAYBREAK, and MIDNIGHT, the same road after dark by headlamp
  • Pick your look from 1986 to 2001: the picture and the soundtrack change together, even mid-run

Free in your browser, on a computer or a phone held sideways.

MIDNIGHT: the bike's headlamp cutting through a dark city street lined with lamps

How to play

Keyboard: arrow keys or WASD to steer. You fire on your own. X for your special (a bomb by day, an airstrike by night), C to boost, Esc to pause, F for fullscreen, M to mute the music, 1 to 5 to change the look mid-run.

Phone or tablet: drag anywhere on the left half to steer; BOMB and BOOST sit on the right. Hold the device sideways.

Gamepad: stick or D-pad to steer, A to fire, B for the special, a bumper to boost, Start to pause.

Shooting is automatic. If you would rather hold a button, turn off Fire for me in Sound & controls, where you'll also find the music and effects volume.

Devices and your scores

Plays in current desktop browsers and on phones and tablets in landscape. iPhone Safari has no fullscreen for web pages, so the fullscreen button only appears where the browser supports it.

Your best scores and settings live in your browser's storage for this page. There is no account and nothing to back up; clearing site data resets them. The game sends nothing anywhere: no analytics, no ads, no tracking.

Credits

Made by Mo (Project Mohem). Built with Claude. A love letter to the road shooters of mid-80s home consoles.

Every sprite is drawn in code and every sound is synthesised in your browser as you play. The only outside pieces are two open-licence fonts: Press Start 2P by CodeMan38 and Rajdhani by Indian Type Foundry, both under the SIL Open Font Licence.

Enjoying it? Buy the dev a coffee on Ko-fi. More from Project Mohem: Pigeon Heist, a noir endless runner starring a one-legged pigeon, and The Spice Meridian, an interactive atlas of five thousand years of spice on the move. Both free in your browser.
