Hello World
Dot cleans the fourth floor of Cognate Labs at night. Someone has left an AI terminal unlocked.
It has been told it is the future. Nobody has told it very much else.
What you do
- Each night shift, choose what Dot and LUMA talk about. What you talk about is what LUMA learns, and the night logs remember all of it.
- Plan Dot's days off together, then watch them play out.
- Answer for LUMA at its Thursday evaluation, while the researchers take notes.
- Keep the friendship growing without the lab noticing.
Week one of an episodic story, in development. Fully voiced. Play a night or two at a time: it saves as you go.
How to play
- Click or tap the conversation to hurry it along (Space on a keyboard).
- Pick a card to choose what happens next (1 to 9 on a keyboard).
- During a day off: tap for the next moment, Pause or P to pause, Skip to jump to the end.
- M mutes. The Sound button has volume for voices, effects and room tone.
- Orange cards are Dot's choices. From Tuesday you also choose for LUMA, on teal cards.
Devices
Plays in the browser on desktop, phones and tablets, upright or on its side. Best with sound. On an iPhone, check the silent switch is off.
Saves
Your progress saves in this browser as you play. It stays on this device and browser only, and clearing the site's data for itch.io removes it. Continue on the title screen picks up where you left off.
Feedback
At the end of the week, tap Send to Mo to send me your playthrough (or copy it). Even "I got bored on Tuesday" helps.
